Why Choose ECS?
Considering school options for your child? We realize that this is one of the most important choices you’ll ever make, and we’re here to help you understand what you can find at Evansville Christian School that you won’t find elsewhere.
As you continue to research and prioritize the needs of your family, take a look at the top 10 reasons why parents have chosen ECS:
We’re more than a Christian school by name. It is our main purpose to point students to the truth found only in Scripture, so they can become educated and equipped to impact the world for God.
We are the only interdenominational, Christian school in the Evansville region that is accredited by the State of Indiana and the Association of Christian Schools International. Our curriculum is aligned with, and exceeds, Indiana College and Career-Ready Standards integrated with Biblical principles. Families committed to providing their children with a Christian foundation can rest assured that they will also find a high-quality education at ECS.
From preschool to high school, students develop a Biblical worldview through studying God’s word, actively serving others, and experiencing Christian community. Our teachers mentor and disciple students as they explore, ask questions, and mature in their own faith.
Exceptional Teachers & Support Staff
ECS teachers are Bible-believing, passionate educators who view their roles not only as a job, but a calling. All faculty members are degreed, licensed by the Indiana Dept. of Education, and certified through the Association of Christian Schools International.
Multi-Campus School System
As students progress from preschool to high school, they get to experience different campuses that are designed to meet their needs at each age and stage.
- Crossroads Campus (Preschool & Pre-K): Our youngest learners enjoy a vibrant, safe, and nurturing environment housed inside Crossroads Christian Church.
- Elementary Campus (K-6): Our newest free-standing campus opened for the 2021/22 school year and is located at 10644 Lincoln Avenue in Newburgh next to our high school campus.
- Middle School Campus (7-8): Middle schoolers have their own learning space inside First Southern Baptist Church in Evansville.
- High School Campus (9-12): Our high school is located at 4401 Epworth Rd. in Newburgh next to our elementary campus.
Safe & Secure
All of our campuses are highly secure, and parents often speak of how safe they feel sending their children to ECS. All of our campuses have locked entrances and visitors complete a background screening. In addition to physical safety, we are committed to ensuring every child feels socially and emotionally safe at school as well. Each campus has a dedicated counselor with a degree in counseling or a related field. Our Technology Department has extensive measures in place to ensure cyber safety on school-managed devices.
ECS is more than a school; it’s a family made up of enthusiastic students, dedicated parents, and a deeply committed faculty and staff. As students grow in their faith, they get to experience true Christian community and discover the value of the body of Christ.
There is no shortage of opportunities for students to develop their unique gifts and build authentic friendships. Through programs, events, and extracurricular activities, we cultivate an enriching student life on campus and in the community.
Affordable & Accessible
Education is an investment, and we aim to make quality, Christian education an option for as many families as possible. In addition to participating in state programs such as the Indiana Choice Scholarship Program, we offer tuition assistance for families who demonstrate financial need.
