Welcome from Head of School
At Evansville Christian School, we are committed to growth, relationships, and service that are rooted in the hope we have been given through Jesus Christ. Our culture, our courses, our outcomes – everything – is intentional for the glory of God.
With the Bible as our foundation, ECS’ mission is to empower students to embrace a Biblical worldview through spiritual & academic growth, servant leadership, and authentic relationships in the name of Jesus Christ. In partnership with parents, pastors, and the community, ECS inspires students to excel academically and grow spiritually, thus building the next generation of servant leaders. Over the years, ECS has experienced significant growth in our enrollment, curriculum offerings, programs/services, athletics, fine arts, and student outcomes.
With 800+ students in Preschool-12th grade, ECS features challenging academics, licensed teachers, small classes, involved parents, and extensive technology. Our curriculum is aligned with, and exceeds, the Indiana’s College and Career-Ready Standards integrated with a Biblical worldview.
Our most recent ILEARN scores rank among the top 6% of all schools in the State of Indiana. Further, ECS has been designated an A-Rated, High Achievement/High Growth school by the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE). We are fully accredited by the State of Indiana, AdvancED, and the Association of Christian Schools International. All our teachers are degreed, licensed, and considered highly qualified by IDOE.
ECS is a multi-campus school system with four campuses:
- Crossroads Campus (Preschool & Pre-K) inside Crossroads Christian Church
- East Campus (K-5) inside Bethel Church
- Cullen Campus (6-7) inside First Southern Baptist Church
- Epworth Campus (8-12), free-standing campus at the corner of Lincoln Ave. and Epworth Rd. in Newburgh
We are excited to share that we are in the construction phase for a brand new campus for Kindergarten-6th graders starting in 2021/22! The new campus is located at the corner of Lincoln Avenue and Epworth Road in Newburgh next to our high school!
