Mike Allen Accepts Leadership Role with Association of Christian Schools International

Evansville Christian School Superintendent Mike Allen has accepted a new role as Senior Director for the Central Division of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). ACSI is the accrediting body for ECS and a trusted partner in Christian education.

In this role, Mike will serve and support approximately 600 Christian schools across 18 states, including Evansville Christian School. He will mentor educators, strengthen relationships with school leaders, and help advance initiatives that support excellent Christian education.

A Season of Calling and Leadership

Mike is a 2024 ACSI Flourishing Practitioner Award recipient. He brings more than a decade of faithful leadership into this new opportunity. He will transition into this role in July.

Mike has served ECS since 2013 and has led as Superintendent since 2015. During his leadership, ECS has grown significantly. At the same time, he has remained deeply focused on our mission: empowering students to embrace a Biblical worldview through spiritual and academic growth, servant leadership, and authentic relationships in the name of Jesus Christ.

The Allen Family Remains Deeply Connected to ECS

ECS means a great deal to Mike and his family. It has been an honor for him to lead a community he loves so deeply. While his role will change, the Allen family’s connection to ECS remains strong.

Kim will continue serving as a High School English instructor. Their children will remain ECS Eagles at the school they proudly call home. Mike looks forward to continuing to support ECS in his new role with ACSI—and most importantly, as a dad.

Looking Ahead with Gratitude and Trust

We are grateful for Mike’s years of faithful leadership and his commitment to Christian education. This marks a meaningful season of transition for our community. Even so, we are excited for what God has ahead—for Mike and his family, for the schools he will serve through ACSI, and for ECS.

The ECS Board has begun a national search for the next Superintendent. We trust that God is preparing the right leader for the next chapter of our school’s story.

We invite our community to join us in prayer. Please pray for Mike and his family, for the future leader God is preparing, and for our ECS family during this time. We look forward to celebrating Mike while continuing to live out the mission and vision of Evansville Christian School with faith and unity in the years ahead.
