The High School Expansion is Almost Complete – With Full Donor Funding!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of private donors, we are thrilled to share that every dollar of our $4.5 million high school classroom expansion has been fully funded through donations alone! Because this project was made possible solely through charitable gifts, we were able to move forward without passing any of the cost on to families or taking on any debt. This includes the cost to furnish these classrooms with all the equipment and resources that our students and teachers will need to be successful.
How We Got Here: Meeting a Pressing Need
As part of our Strategic Plan (SOAR to New Heights), Evansville Christian School has a long-term vision to unite all Preschool–12th grade students on a single campus at Epworth and Lincoln—creating a more connected, Christ-centered community. This unified campus is a long-term goal that will take time to fully realize, so we are taking steps to address immediate needs as they arise.
Thanks to the overwhelming interest in Christ-centered education and the continued growth of our high school enrollment, our high school facility recently reached maximum capacity. In 2024, we added four temporary classrooms in the Epworth Community Church annex just to accommodate enrollment for the 2024–25 school year. Without additional classroom space needed to accommodate needs for 2025–26, ECS would be forced to limit high school enrollment—risking both continuity for our current families and long-term growth. After careful evaluation, the ECS Board and leadership prioritized an eight-classroom expansion to the high school building to meet immediate needs and take the first step in our long-range campus plan.
We’re grateful for the generosity that made this expansion possible and are excited to see how these new classrooms will help empower students to grow spiritually, academically, and relationally in the name of Jesus Christ. The project will be completed next month, and we can’t wait for students to enjoy these brand-new learning spaces come August.
