Biblical Integration

 0203crop.JPG

A worldview is the framework from which we view reality and make sense of life and the world. A personal worldview is a combination of all you believe to be true, and what you believe becomes the driving force behind every emotion, decision, and action. Biblical integration uses the truth of God's Word as the foundation to interpret all things, thus forming a Biblical worldview. Click here to read a Christian School Comment, from ACSI, regarding worldview. Click here to read an article from Focus on the Family on worldview.  Examples include:

  • Teaching the whole child (every subject from God's viewpoint);
  • Understanding God's world from the perspective of God's Word;
  • Training students to filter all subjects through the lens of scripture; and
  • Using Biblical principles as the foundation of illustration and application.

Being a Christian school is much more than using Christian textbooks. ECS pursues curriculum which is aligned with and exceeds Indiana Academic Standards. Critical thinking skills and a variety of teaching methods and activities enrich and balance knowledge, in order to reach students of all learning styles.

The instruction cannot be complete, however, without God's insight - the Creator of all knowledge. Teachers and staff add the "Christian" aspect every day as they present material in the classroom, plan activites to shape students, and model behavior for our students.

When students leave Evansville Christian School, it is our prayer that they will have a strong spiritual foundation and excellent academic preparedness for high school, college, and beyond. Our purpose to inspire students to reach their unique, God-given potential and to equip leaders for the next generation with the skills to make a difference in our community and to impact the world for Christ.

       Research shows that what a student believes when they finish at ECS is what they will believe when they die (Barna Research Group).  Click video for more information (may be viewed full screen).

A student is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher.

- Luke 6:40

Do not deceive yourselves. If any one of you thinks he is wise by the standards of his age, he should become a "fool" so that me may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's sight.

- I Corinthians 3:18-19
